Philip Robinson MBChB PhD FRACP is associate professor at the University of Queensland, senior staff specialist at the Royal Brisbane Hospital and visiting medical officer at St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital and The Wesley Hospital. He has research interests in spondyloarthritis, gout, low benefit care reduction and the classification of rheumatic disease. 

Widespread pain & normal tests, what do I do now?

Chronic widespread pain is the hallmark of central sensitisation, the disorder underlying many chronic pain disorders and fibromyalgia. It is commonly associated with significant sleep disturbance, fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, sensory sensitivity, cognitive clouding and other pain disorders like dysmenorrhea, headache, TMJ disfunction and interstitial cystitis. The talk will cover the background of chronic widespread pain & fibromyalgia, how to diagnose it and how to treat it.
